Blizzard in April? Welcome to Butte.

Mike and Jessi woke up this morning to a winter wonderland. Last night a storm blew into Butte and covered the town in about 5 or 6 inches of snow. It's been a joy to drive in, considering Jessi took the snow tires off the car in March before their trip to Utah.
It was a slow drive for Jessi last night as well. She had gone to Rexburg, ID to help her sister, Lyn, move back up to college. It was fun for her to spend the day with Lyn and see the new Rexburg Temple. One thing Jessi did decide: No More Road Trips! Stopping in every city to use the "facilities" was not enjoyable (although the Phillips 66 in Dubois has a gorgeous restroom). Not only that, Jessi's been experiencing an overwhelming nausea for the last week. We're thinking our trip down to New Mexico in three weeks will take us a little longer than expected.
Other than that small discomfort, Jessi is feeling good and enjoying other benefits of pregnancy - Mike now allows her to sleep in and take as many naps during the day as she wants! Jessi's also been able to quit her job working in the mall, and has really loved being a stay-at-home-mom in training. We're thinking she'll work this summer part time to save up a little more money for the baby, but after that, Mike has promised to provide for our family so Jessi can focus on nurturing our family. We're both thrilled about that, and Jessi can already see how Mike is going to be a great father, and is an awesome husband.

  1. I just knew when we had snow here in Missoula that Butte must have been the frozen tundra!!! Yikes!!

So we've decided that we are coming to Butte the 4th and 5th of May...what time is your church? We can't wait to see you!
