Welcome to Anchorage Alaska!

This month has been a big one! Mike finished his second-to-last semester, we moved to Anchorage for his summer internship, Lily has gotten really good at sitting up and is now trying to crawl, and Jessi ... well, Jessi has just kept taking care of the family :) Here are photos of us stopping in Utah on our way to Alaska, heading to Anchorage, and visiting the Anchorage Zoo:

I Would Walk 500 Miles

In April Mike had to go on a trip to Denver for Tau Beta Pi for a week. Lily and I didn't want to be stuck in Butte all lonely, so we drove down to Utah. We pretty much stayed at my folks, except for one day. Dane had called me to invite me over, so we went. No one was home and there was chicken on the stove, so I ate some. Bad, bad, bad idea. I got food poisoning. We had only planned on staying a few days, but ended up staying over a week. Thank heavens for my mom! She took such good care of Lily (and me) while we were there. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think I have the best mom in the world.
The day before we left, we took Lily swimming at the Bubble for her first time! It was so fun! We got it on video.

A few weeks later it was time to head up to Alaska! During take-off, Lily crapped her pants. It was disgusting. But she must have thought it was hilarious, because she did it at every take-off the rest of the way to Anchorage! We had stops in Salt Lake (we stayed for 4 days before continuing on) then Boise, Denver and Seattle. I didn't know a little girl could have so much poop in her! Otherwise, she was wonderful during the flights. She wouldn't sleep, but she didn't scream or make a fuss. The flight attendants LOVED her. In reality, everyone loves her - everywhere we go, people make a fuss over her, and I love it. I want more babies so we can have more attention :)
Once we were landed in Anchorage, Lily threw the mother of all hissy fits. It was 11 pm, but the sun was still up (dang Big White North) so she couldn't sleep, and she hadn't slept all day (12 hours=3 missed 2 hour naps)... Oh that was a horrible, HORRIBLE night. Two days later, she was back to her happy self! And we were in Anchorage.
