Memories Anyone?

This Tag has been passed around from Blog to Blog...and we think it's a fun one!

1. As a comment on our blog, leave one memory that we had together. It doesn't matter if you knew us a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about us, we'll assume you're playing the game and we'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog or if you don't have a blog, we'll leave our memory of you in our comments.

3. If you can't say something nice (or PG), don't say nothin' at all.

You can feel free to leave comments about Jessi or Mike!

Pics of our little Lily

We went to our 20 week "full" ultrasound appointment on 7/14 and got the confirmation that our little Lily is a girl and is growing right on schedule!!! That night, as we were laying in bed, Jessi felt Lily move for the first time! It was such an incredible feeling, like popcorn *popping* in her tummy every couple of seconds. We are SO thrilled at this new development and can't wait until she is strong enough to be felt by Mike. Here are the latest and greatest pictures: Lily's profile, face and *girl parts*, oh and Jessi the big hippo!

It's a Girl!

We found out on Monday that our little bun-in-the-oven is a girl! Mike is so excited. Yesterday he said "Now that I know it's a little girl, I'm feeling all protective". He's going to be such a great daddy. We've (obviously) decided on a name already, and are so excited to be able to call our little "Lily" by her name. Jessi has been feeling really good lately, almost no morning sickness at all, but has had a hard time sleeping. No one warns you how much internal stretching takes place (although Jessi should have assumed as much, considering she's going to gain 20 lbs!).

Over the Fourth of July weekend, we went to a Blues festival in Aztec, NM. We got smoked turkey legs (if you haven't tried them, you are missing out! They taste like ham!) and grilled corn on the cob. We had a supreme view of the stage and a very comfortable tree to lean against. The weather was so nice - it was really fun.

Next week is set to be very hectic for Jessi. The NHSFR will be pulling into town on the 17th, and she'll be ready to rip her hair out by the time she leaves to visit Utah on the 23rd. There are an estimated 1500 contestants (and their family members) coming from all across the US, Canada and Australia, as well as over 6000 fans. Jessi doesn't know if the Tres Rios staff (all 5 of us) can handle all of that!

Mike is getting his project all wrapped up and has gotten very familiar with the programs that he's been using all summer. He is such a hard worker. Sometimes it's hard to believe that we are all grown up and about to begin our journey in the real, working world!

Jessi Looks Preggo!

Jessi is thrilled that the baby is starting to make her look preggo instead of just fat. We are getting really excited to find out what baby is on July 7th! We've already picked out names and Jessi can't wait to start praying for the baby by name (we're pretty sure the rest of our family feels the same way).

Jessi got to spend a 3 day weekend in Utah with her mom and dad while Mike went camping with his coworkers. Mike really enjoys being outdoors, and it was a great chance for him to commune with nature - and his buddies. Jessi really loves being around people who never stop talking, so Utah was a great way to recharge with her mom.

Things have been going swimmingly for Mike at Conoco. He's really gotten the hang of the work that he's doing, and is getting more comfortable with the corporate "environment". He is such a hard worker and is going to be a great provider for our family. Jessi has been put in charge of Volunteers and Housing for the National High School Finals Rodeo. It means long hours on the phone trying to arrange living arrangements for 47 rodeo teams and even longer hours wasting time on the internet when no one is calling in!

We will try our hardest to remember our camera when we do things over this Fourth of July weekend so we can entertain you more.
