Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires

We went in the mountains last night with a group of our "young adult" friends and made hobo dinners (elk, potato and carrots wrapped in tinfoil) and played with fire. It was tons of fun, and we got some pretty good pictures out of it. Jessi's wearing a hat and gloves that her sister, Lyn, brought all the way from Ireland for her. And they hardly smell like smoke!

Don't Miss Butte When We're Gone

We're back to Butte after a 5 day trip to Utah. We loved visiting our families and getting to spend some time with Lynsey (Jessi's sister) after an 18 month mission in Ireland. She's doing great and we're so proud of her, and happy about the woman she's become. Mike got to assist his dad putting up a new wall frame and was a big help (or so we're told).

We got back to Butte just in time for more snow. Jessi can't wait to live somewhere warm and snow-free. Friday the 14th was Jessi's 26th birthday, and Mike gave her an awesome Kitchenaid mixer! Mike was the first one to use it (he must love to cook), and we got a great loaf of banana bread out of it.
This week is still Spring Break for the college, so Mike is up on campus working manual labor, and Jessi's working full time at Vanity. We're so grateful for our family and friends, and already missing them up here.

Mid Terms Take the Fun Out of Life

This week and next week are mid-terms at Montana Tech, and they certainly don't make us excited to be in school. This has been one of the hardest semesters for both of us, since we are each taking 20 credit hours. The stress must be getting to us: Mike was sick with bronchitis most of last week and is just now feeling better; and Jessi has lost weight while she's been trying to gain it.
We're both so excited to travel back to Utah (home!) next weekend to welcome Jessi's sister, Lynsey, back home from her Dublin Ireland mission. Jessi has especially missed her for the last 18 months.
